Thank so much for taking a few minutes to see what Purple Clover Events is all about!  I often get asked how I got into event planning, and where the name Purple Clover came from, and I always wish I had a more magical story to share 🙂  The truth is, after getting my undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University in psychology, I dediced that I wanted to be a business owner.  After taking a deep look at what I really enjoyed out of past work and personal projects, event planning was a natural fit.  I have a love for all things purple, and have a crazy Irish family, so in 2004 Purple Clover Events was born!

Though we plan events of all sorts, my favorite days are when we get to help a couple plan and enjoy their wedding.  There is so much more involved in planning a wedding than lists and schedules, and it’s our goal to make sure our clients can enjoy the process.  At the end of the night, when all of the lists have been checked off and the dancing is coming to an end, I absolutely love knowing that we were able to not only organize a wonderful wedding for the couple, but also allowed them and their friends and family to relax and enjoy the day!

In 2013 I received my Masters degree in Management from Walsh College.  I originally started this program with the desire to help with the business side of my company, but I have been pleasantly surprised to see how much it has helped in the actual planning process as well.  As it turns out, having a degree in both Psychology and Management is the perfect combination for a wedding planner, so you can rest assured knowing that you’re in good hands with Purple Clover Events!

Family and friends are very important to me, and when I’m not working I can be found laughing with my mom and sister at the lake, or enjoying a glass of wine with friends in Royal Oak.  I’ve been lucky enough to meet some amazing friends in the wedding industry thru my involvement with local networking groups like NACE, ILEA, and have served as the State Coordinator for Michigan for the Association of Bridal Consultants.  It’s been wonderful working with some of the best wedding professionals in Michigan to bring great continuing educational to the event industry.

Hello! My name is Pam and I have been working in the event industry since 2012.  I got my start working in floral and décor for weddings and events, and also work at a local floral company in Ferndale.  After graduating from Central Michigan University, I started working with Purple Clover Events as an assistant helping with networking events for the Association of Bridal Consultants, and am now working with couples to help them enjoy their wedding day!

What I love most about weddings are that they are all so different- the people, the ideas, the personalities! Meeting new people and diving into their visions and ideas for their big day is such an amazing opportunity, it’s wonderfule being a part of it all.

Since last October, I have also taken on a new role – as a bride – and will be getting married this July! It has been a great experience seeing the other side of planning and has helped me relate to our couples. I look forward to working and sharing my experiences with future couples!
